Red Dead Redemption 2 free Thanksgiving DLC available now

Thanksgiving arrives tomorrow for our American friends and in between eating mashed potatoes and turkey (and giving thanks of course), there is also an incentive to leave your grandma at the table and boot up Red Dead Redemption 2.

Well, to celebrate Thanksgiving season, Rockstar Games is giving its Red Dead Redemption 2 players the chance to earn some limited-time rewards on its Red Dead Online title.

More specifically, players can earn double rewards on Trader sales, boosted payouts for posses, limited-time clothing, Outlaw Pass items and more.

It is the limited-time clothing that we are going to focus on, as throughout November and the first week of December, players will be able to deck out their cowboys with some pretty fancy attire.

So far, there has been the Faucheux Gloves, Clovelly Pants and Pittman Shirt up for grabs but this week is dedicated to an item of clothing that can really tie an outfit together.

A hat.

Between 26 November and 2 December, players who rank up five times or reach Rank 20 as a Trader will receive the Amador Hat.

The Amador Hat has been a sought after item for Red Dead Online players with many Reddit threads asking when/if it will ever come back to the in-game store.

With it originally being part of the Outlaw Pass, it was a limited-time item but it turns out that it is not that limited as it is back… for a limited time.

The hat is an interesting one to say the least but it will definitely make your cowboy stand out amongst the rest.

This will be the last piece of limited-time clothing up for grabs with the Thanksgiving event but if you have managed to complete all four weekly incentives, you will find yourself being rewarded with the New Threads Emote.
