There’s a plethora of things to do in Red Dead Redemption 2, with many players not having the time to see it all, so it’s no wonder that the game occasionally throws up a surprise or two.
One player, over on Reddit, was baffled by a message in-game that seemed to show a cheat code, and took to the message board to ask what it was.
Lo and behold, the answer was indeed a cheat code, and it allows you to get up to all kinds of silly nonsense.
There are actually over 30 cheat codes to use in Red Dead Redemption 2, giving you access to things like infinite ammo, bundles of cash, and even the ability to instantly top up your health.

The code discovered was ‘keep your dreams simple’ and it spawns a wagon for you to use, but this was a complete unknown for this Redditor.
In fact, many people play the game not knowing that cheat codes are a thing, and Rockstar Games has been using them for years.
The conversation quickly turned into one of information, with a user commenting, “It f**ks up your save games from there on, though.”
While it might sound fun to spawn in several horses, they’re called cheats for a reason, and it will indeed jeopardise your game save.

Inputting any of the cheats will disable achievements and trophies, and the game won’t save.
If you’re tempted to try any of them out, it’s worth making a backup save you can revert to after you’ve messed around and caused some chaos.
The codes can be found throughout the game, scrawled on maps, found in drawers, or even written on newspapers and such, so it’s understandable that it would cause confusion, as they look like random sayings or comments.
