Red Dead Redemption 2 player manages to 'save' Lenny

Red Dead Redemption 2 player manages to 'save' Lenny

One Red Dead Redemption 2 player seems to have managed to achieve the impossible by saving Lenny.

One Red Dead Redemption 2 player seems to have managed to achieve the impossible by saving Lenny, typically a doomed-to-die character.

Red Dead Redemption 2’s story wouldn’t hit as hard as it does if it didn’t have a palpable sense of peril.

One of those we lose along the way is poor old Lenny. During the Saint Denis bank robbery, Lenny Summers loses his life alongside Hosea Matthews.

Unlike in franchises like Mass Effect, there’s nothing you can do about either of these deaths - officially anyway.

Lenny and Hosea have to die, with the gang subsequently ending up in Guarma. I did say ‘officially’ though, as somehow, one player has found a rather unconventional way to save Lenny. I really didn’t see this one coming.

Take a look at some of our favourite Red Dead Redemption 2 wins and fails below.

This feat was achieved by Twitch streamer SWOL who previously posted a clip showing exactly how he saved Lenny.

SWOL doesn’t exactly explain his actions but as reported by GameRant, it looks as if he used a series of mods to launch forwards and grab Lenny, flying out of the scene before any bullets can land.

It’s a weird ol’ scene to watch unfold. Arthur Morgan pulling a Superman wasn’t on my Red Dead Redemption 2 bingo card, even all these years later but here we are.

I think we all agree that it’s perhaps better that events unfolded as they did for realism’s sake.

Still, it’s nice to think of a silly alternate reality where Arthur and Lenny are flying around the cosmos, safe from harm.

The end result is reminding me somewhat of Hogwarts Legacy. Just pop Arthur on a broomstick and he’d fit right in.

If this isn’t something you fancy replicating on your next playthrough, you might want to read up on a secret piece of lore that completely changes the game’s ending instead. Trust me, it’s juicy.
