It seems like Red Dead Redemption 2 just keeps on giving. The world is so vast and detailed that some players are finding little secrets years after the game came out. One player, who was on their seventh playthrough, recently found a little secret in the most out-of-the-way place.

Rockstar Games is well known for cramming its games full of small details. Often hidden away in hard-to-reach areas we’ve seen silly secrets, nods to the development team, or even details that relate their games to one another.

In this wonderful piece of environmental story-telling, the player was simply exploring a mountain and discovered a couple frozen to death and reported their findings on Reddit. The couple are huddled close together as if seeking the warmth of each other before freezing to death. In their hands, a map of the area showing that they were perhaps explorers caught out by a bad turn in the weather.

Of course, this appearing on the Red Dead Redemption 2 subreddit, plenty of people began discussing this discovery as well as many other little secrets. One user shared their recent discovery, “It wasn't until my 3rd playthrough that I found the Face in the Cliff. It was completely by chance as I was hanging out at Moonstone Pond observing birds with my binoculars.” While another Redditor mentioned, “On my like 10th playthrough when I found the soldier stuck to the tree. Love it.”

The top reply though has a small list of some of the best hidden secrets, “My most recent discoveries: shrunken head, petrified body. A wig store in St. Denis named for Pubic wigs. Ghost of Agnes Dowd, 3+ dead bucks with locked horns, zombie well, fortune teller carriage.” It seems like players will still be finding new things for years to come.
