Red Dead Redemption 2 is a stupendously massive game filled with things to see and do, but fans have always wanted to take a little trip south of the border to see what's going on in Mexico.

If I were a betting man, I'd suggest the next instalment of Red Dead Redemption will focus heavily on Mexico. Although since that's not coming any time soon, we have to look to other means of exploring the neighbouring country.

While the good folk at Rockstar Games are hard at work on Grand Theft Auto 6, there are ways for Red Dead Redemption 2 players to have a poke around Mexico.

One method is to install one of the many mods, with the excellent Nuevo Paraiso a clear highlight. But what if you don't have a gaming PC and can't use mods? Well, the good news is there's still a way to get over to Mexico and have a little look around the place.

The glitch you'll need to master was first discovered by Youtuber ZacCoxTV back in 2018. Despite the glitch being fairly old, it's still in the game at the time of writing should you wish to try it out.

If you're interested, you'll need to travel to New Austin and ride your horse across the water at the point indicated in the video we linked above. It takes some precision, but if you aim toward one the prominent rocks jutting out of the water, you can shimmy your way past the invisible barrier and into Mexico.

The only caveat is that without mods, there's really not much to see or do in Red Dead Redemption 2's Mexico. The country was only ever intended to be there in the distance, so don't expect tons of new content. There are, however, a few sights that might interest you.
