Red Dead Redemption 2 player uncovers 'creepy' secret, 5 years after launch

Red Dead Redemption 2 player uncovers 'creepy' secret, 5 years after launch

The one true horror game

Red Dead Redemption 2 has its fair share of dark moments with some areas on the map even being reminiscent of a horror title. That is why this recently discovered secret has left fans feeling creeped out.

We all remember the first time we stumbled across the swamps of Red Dead Redemption 2 at night. With the first fear being the alligators that lurked underneath its shallow waters, we soon discovered that there were far scarier things to be aware of.

Check out the one true horror game below!

From Lemoyne’s creepy atmosphere to ghosts lurking in the swamps and even the vampiric theme being an undercurrent in the city of Saint Denis, Red Dead Redemption 2 has its fair share of horror.

That is why it is perhaps unsurprising that one player recently discovered “something creepy in Saint Denis” and took to r/reddeadredemption to share it with others.

“This game is so beautiful yet it terrifies me”, the original poster said alongside a video of the creepy discovery.

The video shows Arthur head to one of the balconies near the saloon in Saint Denis and it is here he discovers a ghostly figure lurking in a nearby hallway. The figure is a mere apparition but stands in silence as Arthur wanders around the small area.

What followed was a discussion debating as to whether this is a newly discovered secret or merely a glitch resulting in an NPC getting stuck and seemingly losing its texture.

Additionally, when the player shot at the ghost (a reasonable thing to do), they lost honour which could confirm the glitch theory.

However, others were not convinced. One comment read: “Glitch my a**. That is not a glitch, Rockstar, come on. If I saw that in my gameplay, I am done. I am out, uninstalled and back to GTA5.”

It remains to be seen what the cause of this ghostly discovery is but with Red Dead Redemption 2 being full to the brim with secrets and Easter eggs, it would not be surprising if this was a real find.
