Red Dead Redemption 2 Undead Nightmare DLC fan trailer is brilliantly brutal

One fan has created a concept trailer for a Red Dead Redemption 2 inspired Undead Nightmare sequel, and it looks great.

When it comes to Rockstar Games, waiting for a Red Dead Redemption 3 reveal is almost as painful as the wait for a Grand Theft Auto VI trailer. Assumedly, both are happening. The question is: When? Rockstar would be silly to ignore the intense appetite there is for more Red Dead.

Despite the fact that we’ve had no real updates since 2018’s Red Dead Redemption 2, fans are keeping this incredible franchise alive via mods and other player-generated content. If you’re looking to give Red Dead Redemption 2 a new lease of life, you may want to check out an incredible new survival mod. If that doesn’t appeal to you, another mod allows you to buy and customise your own home. Another fan effort introduces 22 new missions, while one player has even taken to recreating the original Red Dead Redemption with Red Dead 2’s graphics. Today though, I present to you the fan-made ‘Undead Nightmare 2’ DLC trailer. This is what dreams are made of.

Take a look at some of our favourite Red Dead Redemption wins and fails below.

As I’m sure you’re aware, Undead Nightmare was released as a standalone expansion to Red Dead back in 2010. Unfortunately though, as much as fans were hoping for one, no similar expansion was released for Red Dead 2. One fan has taken matters into their own hands though, creating a concept trailer for a proposed Undead Nightmare 2. The project is the work of YouTuber ArthurTheGreat.

Using The Walking Dead’s eerie theme tune, the concept trailer includes everything you could possibly want from Undead Nightmare 2, by which I mean: zombie’s wreaking havoc. “Awesome,” one fan wrote, while another joked, “The only time Reverend Swanson can be useful,” garnering several thumbs up from fellow players in agreement.

It’s a shame that we don’t know what’s next for the Red Dead franchise. It’s seemingly full steam ahead on GTA VI at Rockstar, but I’m sure in time, they’ll reveal which project is next in line after that.
