Last week, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet dropped its full reveal and introduced us to a new range of adorable monsters. The trailer offered us a better glimpse at our starting line-up which consists of the equally adorable Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Quaxly in addition to introducing us to some new friends like Smoliv and Pawmi.
We also got a better look at the new unnamed region, and it was confirmed that Pokémon Scarlet and Violet will have a co-op mode which I am very excited for. The game will release on 18 November 2022 but until then, we can all entertain ourselves with the internet’s newest obsession … Lechonk.

Lechonk is a hog Pokémon whose abilities include an “Aroma Veil” and “Gluttony.” Official Pokémon lore states that, “It may appear fat at first glance, but in reality, the Pokémon’s body is mostly muscle built by constantly walking around in search of food.” What an icon. This little chonky hog has quite understandably sent the internet into a frenzy. Here’s just a sample of reactions.
I can safely say that the GAMINGbible team is well and truly in love with Lechonk. Smoliv also deserves a bit of hype though. After all, she is smol … and an olive. Smoliv. It’s just too cute. Pokémon Scarlet and Violet knew what they were doing when it came to the memes, huh?
