Pokémon Scarlet and Violet free download bonus available for a limited time

Search far and wide, but be quick about it

Whenever we hear the words “Pokémon freebie”, we get excited – it could be nothing more than 10 lots of Potions, but we’d be happy (ish).

This free Pokémon Scarlet and Violet free download delivers so much more than that, though.

For a limited time only, you can claim several rewards via the age-old tradition of mystery gifts. One of these freebies is your very own Eevee.

It's by no means perfect, but Pokémon Scarlet and Violet are packed full of surprises.

Oh yes, everyone’s favourite adorable Pokémon can be yours. But not just any ol’ Eeeve, it’s an Eeeve with the Mighty Mark.

In addition to receiving this special Pokémon, there’s a whole heap of evolution items to help make your adventures through Paldea much easier.

Included in this cache of items is a Fire Stone, Ice Stone, Leaf Stone, Thunder Stone, Water Stone, and a Soothe Bell

Unfortunately, there’s a catch to this joyous Nintendo news. And no, we’re not referring to the tight timeframe of this bonus.

As well as having to be mindful of how long you’ve got left to download these free bonuses, you also have to be in attendance at the PokeDoko Pokess Matsuri tour.

If you can quickly hop on a flight to Japan, this is your only chance (at least for now) to get Eevee and its stash of items.

One fan lamented, “Well, I guess there goes my ‘all mightiest mark’ collection...”

For now, there’s no indication that this exclusive event will open up internationally; we suspect it won’t, sadly.

Should you be lucky enough to be in Japan, and/or planning to travel in the next few days, you have until 24 August to get the goods.

We wish you luck in nabbing that Mighty Mark Eevee, if you’re able. For those of you forced to just grin and bear it, we see you, and we understand your plight.
