Pokémon Scarlet And Violet players are already demanding refunds

Pokémon Scarlet And Violet players are requesting refunds after complaining that the game has too many technical issues.

The ninth generation of Pokémon is finally here, but it’s not exactly what fans had in mind. Pokémon Scarlet & Violet was released last week to mixed reviews. Here at GAMINGbible, Tom rated the title a seven, noting that the game “delivers on the promise of an open-world entry, but with all the technical issues and stripped-back features, it’s hard to not feel like the Nintendo Switch held these games back.”

It’s these technical issues that have left fans feeling ripped off. Pokémon Scarlet & Violet is rife with bugs and glitches. During our own review, we pointed out the “terrible frame rate,” plus the game features frequent crashing and invisible Pokémon. I’ve seen Pokémon spawning under the ground, running off cliffs .. it’s the wild west out there.

Check out our video review of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet below.

You only need to take a quick trip to Twitter to see just how dismayed fans are with the state of Pokémon Scarlet & Violet. In fact, many are now demanding refunds - arguing that Game Freak and Nintendo shouldn’t have released the title in its current state. This news probably isn’t too surprising to you, but you may be shocked to find out that some fans have actually been granted their requested refunds.

As reported by The Gamer, Reddit user sellouthipster took to the website to share their own experience. They wrote, “Without boring you with all my gripes about this game, I just got my money back for Pokémon Scarlet. A lot of people don't know this but Nintendo will, on rare circumstances, offer a one-time refund for you. [...] If you genuinely are disappointed with the game, I'd strongly urge you to do this instead of complaining or trying to raise awareness of the game's issues. I highly doubt any kind of fixes are coming - especially before Christmas - and I have zero urge to play a broken game.”

The user advises Pokémon fans to head on over to Nintendo’s support chat. There, users can select Nintendo Switch, followed by Downloads & Digital Content, before choosing Nintendo eShop and refunds. At this stage, sellouthipster relayed their dissatisfaction to an agent who refunded them for the game. Hopefully, a patch is on the way - at some point. Paldea may be chaotic but I’m quite enjoying my adventure.
