PlayStation Plus Subscribers Slam February Games For Being Behind The Times

Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep was already included several years ago.

PlayStation Plus subscribers are airing their ire at the announcement of latest lot of games (shock) because they aren't as up to date as they would have hoped.

If you missed it, next month's offering consists of EA Sports UFC 4, Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep: A Wonderlands One-shot Adventure, and Planet Coaster: Console Edition. Obviously, this isn't as exciting as some of the previous selections of freebies but it is standard fare for the subscription service. I imagine that whoever is in charge of choosing the games has gone for Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep to drum up excitement and interest for Tiny Tina's Wonderlands which will come to PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 at the end of March.

Here's the trailer for Tiny Tina's Wonderlands - featuring a gorgeous fantasy world that reacts to the whims of the zany dungeon master herself!

In spite of this, a group of very vocal subscribers are expressing their discontentment with the next grab bag of games. "Thought Godfall: Challenger Edition was insulting? This is like if Godfall was a 10 year old game and we got Godfall: Challenger Edition after already receiving Godfall as a PS+ title 3 years prior," said one. To be fair, not everyone has been subscribed to PlayStation Plus for years and years, but they do point out that lots of players snagged Borderlands: The Handsome Collection in 2019 and that included Tiny Tina's Assault on Dragon Keep as well as all of the DLC for Borderlands 2. Ergo, these gamers have just gotten a game they've already had in their library for ages.

Could everyone chill for a second? That is going to happen on occasion because there are a limited number of titles that PlayStation is able to dole out through PlayStation Plus. If I had a say, I would have added Lost in Random which is another dark fantasy action adventure with an enchanting aesthetic and incredibly satisfying gameplay. You can read the rest of my review here and if you like the sound of it, it's half off until the start of February. I'm a master of redirection.
