You can currently grab three freebies through Steam right this second, but you have to do so before the end of next week if you don’t want to miss your chance.

As always, thank you in advance to the Free Steam Games Twitter account for their tireless efforts in finding everything and everything you don’t have to pay for on the platform!

Steam is holding a brand new event on the platform at the moment, and you only have until 10 May to get all of the free stuff they’re handing out to celebrate.

The new “Wargames” event is celebrating everything tactical and team-based, which is why they’re offering up three new ways to jazz up your Steam profile.

The "Frontline Figurine" animated avatar, "Battlefield Border" avatar frame and "Green Star Medal" animated sticker will almost definitely never pop up on the storefront ever again, so I highly suggest getting them right now if you’re the type of person who enjoys making your Steam profile look extra funky.

Are you keeping up to date with The Last of Us?

However, if you’re more interested in free games rather than free profile goodies, then you may want to check out the Wargames celebration page to see what’s currently on offer.

There's a bunch of free-to-play tactical team games that are currently being promoted through the event, including Team Jade's Delta Force, Darkflow Software's Enlisted and Gaijin Entertainment’s War Thunder (I’m sure there’s a promotional code from some YouTuber you can Google to get some extra freebies for that last one too).

Alternatively, there are a whole slew of demos you can snag through the event, too.

If you need some recommendations, I’d suggest starting with Total War: SHOGUN 2 and Dynasty Warriors: Origins, because I know for a fact that both of those games slap.

See you back here next month for the next wave of Steam freebies!
