Steam’s latest free banger is getting a lot of praise on the platform, particularly because its a short but jam packed experience that doesn’t waste its players’ time.
There are a lot of great games out there at the moment, but it can feel particularly daunting booting up something new and knowing that you’ll be locked into it for the foreseeable future.
For instance, I’m playing Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 at the moment. It’s incredible, but I’m about 20 hours in and it feels like I’ve barely scratched its surface.

You can take a look at that title in action below.
That’s why stuff like Forgetmenots by developer and publisher Forgetful Studios is great to cleanse the palette every now and again. Quick to finish, but there’s not a scrap of wasted time in the entire experience.
Well, that’s according to the reviewers on Steam at least.

“Short and sweet game. Puzzles are pretty straightforward with hints in case you get stuck. Story starts off 'normal' and takes a turn when you get more of it,” writes user Syrethyst.
“Cute art style. Not sure how the voice acting is as I don't speak Swedish. There are a few minor spelling mistakes in the subtitles though. Definitely recommend giving it a try, it's free!”
“Oh, that was a cute game. I liked the graphics - the combination of 3D and 2D was surprisingly cool,” stated user Joanna.
“I'm still trying to get two achievements. I would add an option to skip or speed up dialogue, but I understand the choice. I'm not sure if there is an ending after the credits; it felt like I was stuck there.”

It’s currently sitting at a Very Positive score with over 90% of its reviews being positive, so this one sounds like a slam dunk to me.
I’m sure I’ll get round to it in 80 hours after I’ve finished Clair Obscur: Expedition 33…
