One of Steam’s most well-reviewed new games just got a free trial for users to download, and basically all of the reviews are calling it the best cozy-sim since Animal Crossing: New Horizons.
Dinkum is a "survival life simulation game" from developer James Bendon and publisher KRAFTON, Inc. on Steam, and it's overall review score really should speak for itself.
It's currently sitting at a "Very Positive" score, with over a whopping 20,000 total reviews (93% of which are positive). I can definitely see why this one is proving to be popular too, because the trailers for it look incredible.

Don’t just take my word for it though, as the reviewers are throwing out a lot of praise for Dinkum.
“Dinkum may be similar to games such as ACNH, but this game is truly its own. I genuinely enjoy every aspect of it (maybe not the dirt moving, but that just adds realism). The fighting is challenging enough to keep you interested, and the farming aspect is really fun,” writes user lyndseybug.

“Even keeping up on townsfolk relationships is exciting, because you have to wait to see when they come back to town until you get them to move in… Overall, one of my favourite games! I can't wait to see where the devs take it next!”
“Literally the only game to scratch that ACNH itch since covid. Super cozy, lots of lovable characters, a slow but rewarding progression system, AND if you're Australian, is very reminiscent of home down to even the bird call first thing in the morning,” writes user Melody.
“Totally worth the pick up. I play it multiplayer with my husband all the time and it's up there as one of our favourite cozy games.”
You can currently download a free demo for Dinkum through Steam so you can try before you buy, but don’t get too worried if you get too sucked into it as the full release will only set you back £16.75.
