The all-new PlayStation Plus subscription service is just a few short months away, which means we don't have long to wait before we can finally play classic PlayStation and PlayStation 2 games on our PS4/PS5 consoles.

Sony announced the long-rumoured PlayStation Plus overhaul last month, confirming a complete rejigging of the service and multiple new tiers.

Of those three tiers - Essential (£7), Extra (£11) and Premium (£13.49) - it's the PlayStation Plus Premium tier that has fans most excited. Why? Because in addition to the usual monthly free games and access to PlayStation Now's library of games, subscribers will also net themselves the ability to download and play PS1, PS2, and even PSP games - something fans have been asking for for a long time.

As of right now, Sony is remaining tight-lipped on what classic games we can actually expect. We've put together our own wishlist, but at present all we really have is wishful thinking while we wait for Sony to tell us what we're spending our money on.

Fortunately, a new leak might just have provided us with our first real clue as to what games will be part of the mythical Premium tier.

As reported by Gematsu, multiple entries in cult classic franchise Syphon Filter have been rated for PS4 and PS5 by the Game Rating and Administration Committee of Korea. Syphon Filter (PS1), Syphon Filter 2 (PS1), Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror (PS2/PSP), and Syphon Filter: Logan’s Shadow (PS2/PSP) are all present and correct.

The only two games in the series that don't seem to have been rated are Syphon Filter 3 (PS1) and Syphon Filter: The Omega Strain (PS2).

There are a few reasons these games might have been rated for PS4 and PS5, but the most likely scenario by far is that all four games are making their way to PlayStation Plus as part of the Premium tier. There's also a chance we're getting some kind of Syphon Filter collection, of course, but I'd put my money on PS Plus for now.

The all-new PlayStation Plus is currently scheduled to launch in June, so we shouldn't have long to wait to learn which classic games we're getting.
