PlayStation has announced a pretty substantial new freebie, and you don't even need a PlayStation Plus subscription to claim it!
In fact, the freebie PlayStation has announced is a PlayStation Plus subscription - three months of the PS Plus Premium tier, to be precise. How can you make this yours? Read on to find out, you handsome son of a gun. Your hair looks great, by the way.
Those of you looking to claim three months of PlayStation Plus Premium for the low price of nothing will need to get hold of colourful 3D platformer Sackboy: A Big Adventure. Developer Media Molecule is holding a series of special PlayStation Tournaments in the game with a string of prizes, including the big kahuna: a PS Plus Premium voucher.

"Hear ye, Knitted Knights! The Trials are set and it’s time for you to prove that you have got the right stuffing to best the Sackboy: A Big Adventure PlayStation Tournaments on PlayStation 5 and be crowned as true royalty on Craftworld," a blog post reads.
Five trial courses will be offered between June 2023 and February 2024. Each month will throw up a different obstacle course, with the aim being to smash through as quickly as your little legs can carry you. You can try as many times as you like to get the best time, with various cosmetic goodies being awarded to players depending on how well they've done.
But if it's the PS Plus prize you're specifically interested in (and I would imagine that it is), then you'll need to make sure you're playing the game between June 24 and June 25. The top 500 players who rank as the fastest globally during this speedrun will win a PlayStation Plus voucher. Simple. Just get really good at Sackboy, yeah? Yeah. Easy.
