Xbox quietly releases a strange new Series model you have to see for yourself

Microsoft have cooked up something new

Get bready, because Microsoft has released a brand new ‘Series’ model to rival them all. We have to toast to this one as it’s possibly superior to all others.

Xbox is coming for your kitchen. At E3 2021 the gaming brand announced an Xbox Series X mini fridge and now you can grab a Series S toaster. If you want your kitchen to have a crumb of respectability, you’ll need to get your hands on this $40 replica of the console - it’s the best thing since sliced bread.

Do you love your Series S console enough to buy a toaster?

No, this isn’t a very early April Fools, there really is a toaster shaped like a Series S console. It even has a large black air vent. That’s not all; the toaster boasts some serious power under the hood with six adjustable browning levels, a defrost function, and a built-in countdown to tell you when your toast will be ready.

The toaster even browns the Xbox logo into your toast. What gamer could want more? To be honest, all snark aside, it’s pretty cute and for fans, it’s a novelty that is actually fun and affordable. At only $40 from Walmart, it’s priced well. There’s a crumb tray, plus a function to prevent the toaster from jamming when it pops. According to Microsoft, there’s “No more breakfast-induced jump scares or trying to spread butter on bread that's already gone cold because you were trying to find a good save point. It's the next-generation toasting console.”

So, what comes next? A PlayStation 5 fan heater that will be perfect for the winter months? A Switch integrated microwave? Perhaps Valve will bring out a Steam temperature control for your central heating. These ideas are the yeast of our problems, as long as they keep on rising to the occasion, gamers will keep on buying them.
