Xbox makes popular game free for you to keep for 24 hours

It's now or never

This is your final warning; if you haven’t already downloaded this wonderful episodic adventure game, now is the time to do so.

DON’T NOD’s Tell Me Why has been free throughout the month of June in celebration of Pride Month, but with July kicking off tomorrow, the offer has almost come to an end.

Tell Me Why is a delightful game that launched back in 2020.

You’re likely well aware that DON’T NOD is the studio behind the original Life is Strange, so if you enjoyed Max Caulfield’s classic adventure, you’ll likely also enjoy what’s on offer here too.

I will say, Tell Me Why isn’t quite as strong as Life is Strange but I suppose you can’t deliver an all-time great with every release.

The title did secure a Metacritic score of 78, earning it a ‘Generally Favourable’ accolade.

That’s nothing to turn your nose up at - especially when you can nab the game for free.

If you don’t like it, you’re only losing a bit of time.

The game centres around twins Tyler and Alyson Ronan who reunite after a decade apart in their childhood home in Alaska.

The duo seek to come to terms with the events of their childhoods - and they can very handily communicate via telepathy.

This wouldn’t be a DON’T NOD game, after all, if it didn’t have an other-worldly element.

Tell Me Why is told across three chapters and, of course, your choices will affect how the narrative unfolds.

In total, the game runs for around nine to 10 hours, if you’re just focusing on the main story without unlocking all achievements.

If this has enticed you then you need to run to the Xbox Store where the game is currently listed for free instead of with its usual $19.99 price tag.

Perhaps it’s safe to say it one more time: today is the final day that can take advantage of this deal as it expires on 1 July, tomorrow.

Thankfully, Tell Me Why is available on Game Pass, so you may already have access, although it might be nice to permanently keep a copy in your library.

This offer is also running on Steam, so you have one day left to grab it there too.

Go, go, go.
