Xbox makes 5 games free to download for next 48 hours

Honestly, I've not even heard of two of these

Xbox has made five new games free to download and play, but you only have the next 48 hours to check them out.

If you're an Xbox fan (and if you're not what are you actually doing here?), you'll know all about Free Play Days.

Every weekend, Xbox gives us a new batch of games to try out for free. Some of them are only accessible for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, but there are usually a couple freebies that don't require any kind of subscription.

So, from the time of publication to the end of 27 July (roughly 48 hours), you can get your clammy little hands on the following five games. Shall we take a look?

First up is Railway Empire, a management sim that lets you run trains. But not in the way you're thinking, you dirty little perv. You'll an active Game Pass subscription to access this one.

Similarly, you'll need Game Pass for free access to Sword Art Online and Totally Reliable Delivery Service. I've never played the former, but I can say the latter is naff and not particularly worth your time over the other games available.

Terra Memoria, meanwhile, is free for everyone regardless of Game Pass status. It's an adorable little RPG that's well worth checking out if you've the time.

Finally, there's Ubisoft's brutal hack-and-slash historical fighter - For Honor. This one is actually free until the very end of the month, so you've a little more time if you want to prioritise any of the other titles.
