One beloved PlayStation and PC title is finally making its way to Xbox and Nintendo Switch next month as its Sony exclusivity comes to an end.

Unlike days gone by, console exclusivity is not as cut-and-dry in recent years. With a lot of games only remaining exclusive for around six months, it is never long until they finally make their way to competitive hardware and that is most certainly the case for one hit PlayStation and PC title.

First released on PlayStation 5 and Windows in July 2023 before arriving on the PlayStation 4 in December of that year, Viewfinder is a puzzle game developed by Sad Owl Studios.

In this single-player game, players will “challenge perception, redefine reality, and reshape the world around you with an instant camera” with the title aiming to offer hours of fun as you uncover the mysteries left behind.

Now the award-winning Viewfinder is heading to Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch on 12 August 2025.

So why should you grab this hit title?

Well, Viewfinder not only managed to bag itself best British game at the BAFTAs and Game of the Year at the Ukie Video Game Awards, but it currently sits at a ‘overwhelmingly positive’ rating on Steam with almost 9,000 reviews.

One positive review reads: “Neat puzzle game.

Yes it's short, but still an amazing experience with one or two very tricky levels inside

The narrative is also cool, the visual design rocks, the Easter eggs are funny, everything you could ask for.”

Recommended for fans of Portal, Viewfinder is perfect for fans of puzzle games with a twist and, as mentioned, it will now be available for Xbox and Nintendo Switch users in just a few weeks.

So get ready to reshape reality, explore, experience, and find the answer to the impossible as you step into the Viewfinder.
