Microsoft has a lovely little game for you to play for free this weekend, but you need to be quick if you want to give this one a try.

As part of Xbox Free Play Days, subscribers of Xbox Game Pass can enjoy extended trials for some of the best games currently available, and there are usually several genres to hop into.

For the final weekend of July, you can enjoy Terra Memoria, for free.

Showcasing some gorgeous pixel art, alongside engaging RPG gameplay, this is not a game to be missed.

Featuring six lovable characters, you’ll be investigating the mysteries of Terra, battling monsters, and bringing together a cast of wonderful characters.

There’s a definite Dungeons & Dragons vibe here, with a party built up of archetypal RPG roles, and the mix of humans and anthropomorphic animals is adorable.

Heading out of a road trip with a bunch of rag tag critters, you’ll meet even more eccentric NPCs and discover what makes this world tick.

That’s of course once you’ve battled your way through the wilds, taking on various monsters seeking to stop your journey in any way they can.

Setting up camp to keep your adventurers safe is a top priority, as is piecing together clues you’ll find along the way that reveal the core mystery of Terra.

I’ve not played this one myself, but it looks great and seems to lean heavily into JRPG tropes, with a dash of cosy aesthetics on top.

No matter what tier of Xbox Game Pass you subscribe to, you’ll be able to give this game a try over the weekend, and it’ll cost you nothing.

So, if you fancy a cute adventure, roaming through a bright and breezy world, get over to your Xbox and get this downloaded before you miss your chance.
