Xbox new hardware teased ahead of official reveal

Xbox new hardware teased ahead of official reveal

Could we getting new Xbox hardware sooner than we thought?

With Xbox reportedly sticking its toe in the portable market, a recent leak gives us some more information ahead of Microsoft’s official reveal.

This news comes from r/GamingLeaksAndRumours which drew attention to a new video by notable leaker eXtas1s.

Known for leaking the date of Senua's Saga: Hellblade II and that Lords of the Fallen would be joining the Xbox Game Pass, he has now revealed some information about the upcoming Xbox Portable.

Check out the trailer for Senua's Saga: Hellblade 2 below!

In a Youtube video, the leaker claims that Xbox is set to shadow drop both a game and the Xbox Portable unit at the upcoming Xbox Games Showcase taking place on 9 June.

As eXtas1s is in Spanish, one Reddit user has translated it. They said:

“He can confirm that one of the Xbox first-party titles everyone expects to see (like Flight Simulator, Avowed, Diablo DLC, Starfield DLC, Towerborne, etc.) will be a shadow drop at the event. While he knows which one it is, he’s not revealing it. I’m guessing it’s Towerborne, but we’ll see.

Xbox will make a teaser about the new Xbox Portable on the Showcase that confirms its existence to the general public. “

If this is true, it seems that the Xbox Portable will be part of Xbox’s next-gen lineup as it is reported that the next Xbox console will be arriving until at least 2028.

However, Microsoft’s Portable unit will need to go head-to-head with others in the market such as the Steam Deck and many believe this will be a hard feat to accomplish.

Until now, it seems we will have to wait until 9 June to see if the Xbox Portable will receive this “small” teaser during the Xbox Games Showcase.

While we wait for the event, we can check out the multiple free downloads Xbox has recently added to the service to celebrate Pride month.
