Dark Souls and Elden Ring fans are in for a treat this month with the latest offering in the Xbox Game Pass subscription service.

Very few games can match the quality of FromSoftware titles toe-to-toe with the likes of Dark Souls, Bloodborne and Elden Ring which inspired the ever-vibrant Soulsborne sub-genre. However, there are some exceptions to that trend such as the Lies of P and the topic of today’s discussion, Lords of the Fallen which is coming to Xbox Game Pass soon.

Check out the Lords of the Fallen trailer below!

Not to be confused with the 2014 game of the same name, Lords of the Fallen (2023) is essentially a reboot and a sequel at the same time, set about 1000 years after the first game. Lords of the Fallen may not have blown critics away but with a respectable score of 77 on the aggregate website Metacritic, it’s at least something for Soulsborne fans to check out.

“After an age of the cruellest tyranny, the demon God, Adyr, was finally defeated, but Gods… do not fall forever. Now, aeons later, Adyr’s resurrection draws nigh,” reads the description of the game.

“As one of the fabled Dark Crusaders, journey through both the realms of the living and the dead in this expansive RPG experience, featuring colossal boss battles, fast challenging combat, thrilling character encounters, and deep, immersive storytelling.”

So when is Lords of the Fallen coming to Xbox Game Pass, I hear you ask? Thankfully, you won't have long to wait because it arrives on Microsoft’s subscription service on 30 May 2024.

Lords of the Fallen will also be joined by the likes of Senua’s Saga: Hellblade II, Moving Out 2, Humanity and much more. So it’s fair to say that it’s looking like a stellar month for Xbox Game Pass subscribers.

Lords of the Fallen is out now on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
