Microsoft is giving Xbox fans exactly what they want and it will bring a burst of beauty and colour to your console as a free download.

Xbox is taking time to represent and celebrate indigenous cultures and traditions in the gaming community.

Xbox dynamic wallpapers and backgrounds are available for both Series S and X consoles

In this celebration of Asian and Pacific Islanders, a one-off dynamic Xbox background and wallpaper has been produced and it’s a gorgeous work of art.

The APIHM (Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month) background and wallpaper are bursting with colour and embraces traditional design, and it’s yours for free, right now. All you need to do is follow these simple steps and you can refresh your console’s look.

You’ll need to open the guide menu for your Xbox by pressing the Xbox button on your controller.

Now follow this path through the menus starting by selecting Profile & system. Then follow Settings > General > Personalization > My background > Dynamic backgrounds. Now you just need to choose the art you want to display.

An artist from Thailand created the design and features inspiration from the Ramayana, an epic tale originally from India that has gone on to influence other Asian peoples.

“The Xbox design features Sukhrip (Sugriva), the son of the sun, and Madchanu, the son of a mermaid. The stage scene focuses on Songkran, the Thai New Year, which is celebrated in April.”

As part of Asian and Pacific Islander Heritage Month Xbox is also showcasing several games that reflect aspects of the countries celebrated this month, including Venba, Mineko’s Night Market, Sword and Fairy: Together Forever, Thirsty Suitors, and Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes.

Why not make your Xbox console that bit more beautiful with this dynamic background and wallpaper and help celebrate the diverse backgrounds that make up a huge part of our gaming communities.
