One of Xbox Game Pass’ latest offerings is taking the gaming world by storm with some even hailing it as the 'Fallout 4 of this generation'.
Before we start, we should probably address the Xbox Game Pass-sized elephant in the room. Going into effect just this week, Microsoft has implemented yet another price increase for all Xbox Game Pass tiers which has led to droves of users cancelling their subscriptions.
With many users believing that the day-one releases are just not worth the cost anymore, it seems as though Microsoft will have to pull future releases out of the bag if it wishes to keep the majority of its customer base.
However, there is one October launch that may be the sole reason that many have kept their subscription yet another month.

The Outer Worlds 2
As the highly anticipated sequel to 2019’s The Outer Worlds, the hit Obsidian Entertainment RPG is back and better than ever according to its millions of players.
Even our very own James Lynch loved it, calling The Outer Worlds 2 “a quality evolution for a spectacular spacefaring RPG.”

“It’s immersive, delightful fun and it’s packed with little moments that should see it resonate with a big audience,” his review reads.
“Whatever Obsidian decides to do next, they should look back on this release as one where they really got all the big calls right.”
It seems as though fellow players agree with a recent thread over on r/XboxGamePass showing just how much appreciation The Outer Worlds 2 is gaining right now.
“The Outer Worlds 2 is the Fallout 4 of this generation,” user ManuMaker posted.
Could it be even better than Fallout 4?
“Look, I know Fallout 4 wasn’t a masterpiece either, but what a game it was for the PS4 generation, nothing else like it came out and nothing has matched that feeling since!” They continued.

I feel like The Outer Worlds 2 is the only one that managed to recreate that magic, that warmth, that goodness, that immersion and depth.
In some ways it’s even better, especially graphically at launch, because Fallout 4’s visuals were rough and here the presentation really makes a difference.”
They go on to praise The Outer World 2’s characters, atmosphere, setting, and world-building and overall, reveals that it is an Xbox Game Pass addition that you do not want to miss out on.
With The Outer Worlds 2 costing £60 to purchase outright, you are definitely saving yourself quite a bit of money if you play it via Xbox Game Pass and it seems as though it may very much be worth it.
