A major Marvel video game has arrived to Xbox Game Pass as a day-one release just in time for the festive period.

So if you want to spend your Christmas with your favourite superheroes as they fight against a deadly Annihilation Wave threatening the galaxy, look no further.

Launching today, 1 December, MARVEL Cosmic Invasion is the next hit video game set in the beloved Marvel Cinematic Universe.

In this beat ‘em up title, players will choose from 15 of their favourite superheroes and see them team up to take out enemies which threaten humanity itself.

From the streets of New York City to the depths of the Negative Zone, choose your line-up, build epic combos and master those buttons as you fight across the stars.

“Tribute Games and Dotemu are teaming up again, in collaboration with Marvel Games, to craft an original, fresh beat 'em up,” the official synopsis reads.

“Featuring dynamic combat combos and dazzling pixel art, this planet-hopping adventure stands as a love letter to the Marvel Universe.”

Now to celebrate the launch of MARVEL Cosmic Invasion, which releases on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, it is also a day-one release for Xbox Game Pass members.

That means that if you are a subscriber, you can gain access to the game for absolutely free and it will be the perfect game to multitask with this Christmas whilst also stuffing your face with those roast potatoes.

““The cosmos must fall, so that I might live!”

“So swears Annihilus, the living death that walks!

After an unprecedented attack is launched across the galaxy, all life hangs in the balance.”

Not Long Left to Wait

MARVEL Cosmic Invasion is set to launch at 4PM GMT/8AM PDT but until then, fans have already been expressing their excitement.

“I am so excited for tomorrow”, one Reddit user shared over on r/CosmicInvasion.

“Oh same, the first thing I'm doing after breakfast is playing!” Another agreed.

Taking on the role of some of your favourite superheroes such as Nova, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Phyla-Vell, Captain America, Storm, and many more has never been easier, or more epic and luckily, it is not long before you will be able to do so, especially if you are an Xbox Game Pass subscriber.

MARVEL Cosmic Invasion is set to launch in just under six hours for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2.

It is also free as a day-one release for Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers.
