Right now, you can download and play one of 2025’s best-rated games so far for free. With that in mind, what are you waiting for?

As much as we love playing video games, this hobby does not come cheap with the latest AAA releases often having an RRP of £60 to £70, regardless of whether we play on PC, PlayStation, Xbox or Nintendo.

Check out the Dynasty Warriors: Origins trailer below!

Thankfully, free playable demos exist and as such, we can sample select brand-new releases such as Dynasty Warriors: Origins from Koei Tecmo. Best of all, you don’t even need an Xbox Game Pass subscription to access this demo to download and play today.

The Dynasty Warriors series has been around for years with the first game arriving in 1997 on the original PlayStation. Since that time, the series has graced us with tons of sequels and spin-offs with fans being won over by its high-octane action and an incredible amount of enemies on a single screen.

The latest game in the series is the aforementioned Dynasty Warriors: Origins and it arrived with a respectable Metacritic score of 80, which is currently the highest-rated game in the series.

In our review of Dynasty Warriors: Origins, we said it’s “a fantastic starting point for those new to series like I was. The storytelling felt concise and easy-to-follow, the gameplay was endlessly entertaining, and it never felt like I was stepping into unknown territory, so I could learn and experiment with no fear.”

The Dynasty Warriors: Origins demo is not only available on Xbox but you can also download it now via Steam and the PlayStation Store.

Dynasty Warriors: Origins became available earlier this week for those who pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition with the standard version releasing tomorrow 17 January on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
