Uncharted and The Last of Us are going to be playable on an Xbox system very soon, well, sort of.
We’ll never see the day that two of Sony PlayStation’s most popular franchises, Uncharted and The Last of Us from Naughty Dog, will be playable on an Xbox system, or at least we thought.
But then, if you had asked anyone last year whether Gears of War is coming to PlayStation 5, they would accuse you of talking utter nonsense. It even looks like Halo will follow suit, so never say never.

During the Xbox Games Showcase last weekend, Microsoft announced its collaboration with ASUS to bring us the ROG Xbox Ally and the ROG Xbox Ally X, two Xbox-branded handheld systems for an already established competitor to the Steam Deck.
Both of the ROG Xbox Ally handheld consoles will run on the Windows 11 operating system, which in turn means that it will also be able to play games from your Steam library, as well as your Xbox library.
However, as brought to our attention by Push Square (via Xbox Wire), thanks to a technical loophole, it will also be able to play PlayStation franchises such as the aforementioned Uncharted and The Last of Us.
So, how will you be able to play PlayStation titles such as Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection, The Last of Us Part I and The Last of Us Part II Remastered, I hear you ask?

As mentioned, you can access your Steam library, so if you have any PlayStation games on that platform, you’ll be able to play them all on the ROG Xbox Ally systems, and the same rule applies to titles on the Epic Games Store.
It might not be the multiplatform releases we hoped for, such as Gears of War: Reloaded coming to PlayStation 5 on 26 August 2025, but it’s probably going to be the closest we’ll get for Sony titles coming the other way.
At the time of writing, the ROG Xbox Ally and the ROG Xbox Ally X do not have confirmed release dates other than being scheduled to launch towards the end of this year.
