An upcoming Halo Infinite sequel has just had a new edition confirmed, and it’s definitely one for OG fans.
Halo Infinite may not be the most popular game in the series, but it had its moments. And its story was particularly interesting within this new timeline of Halo games, even if it didn’t hit the highs of the original trilogy.
Considering the way it ended, fans have been hoping for a follow-up to Infinite for a while. And with news on the next Halo game being rather light, there was no telling when this would actually happen.
Now that Microsoft has announced Halo: Campaign Evolved (with a cheeky PlayStation version to boot), it seems as though the possibility of Halo Infinite’s story being continued in a game has all but dissipated.

Earlier this year, it was confirmed that Halo Infinite’s story was going to continue in novel form, with Halo: Edge of Dawn set for release in December.
It’s being penned by Kelly Gay, a sci-fi and fantasy author who has written many Halo novels in the past. Previously, she wrote The Rubicon Protocol, Epitaph, and Point of Light.
What’s more, it’s now been confirmed that Steve Downes and Jen Taylor will be reprising their roles as Master Chief and The Weapon for the Edge of Dawn audiobook. They’ll also be joined by Debra Wilson, who voiced the Harbinger in Halo: Infinite.

Halo: Edge of Dawn is a true sequel to Infinite
The story of Halo: Edge of Dawn follows the ending of Infinite, with several plot threads that were left hanging will hopefully be addressed.

“As Spartan-117 searches for scattered allied forces, a young combat medic—tortured and imprisoned for months by the Banished and the enigmatic Harbinger—may hold the key to unlocking deeper mysteries within this ancient ringworld. But every step toward answers is haunted by the sinister and elusive blademaster Jega ‘Rdomnai, who is hellbent on vengeance…”
