Being a Halo fan means that you have lived the past few years eagerly anticipating the news that the next entry was just around the corner.
Alas, that confirmation has not come and with just rumours and speculation to keep us going, our luck may just be about to change.
Taking place from 24-26 October, the Halo World Championship 2025 is heading to Seattle and will allow fans from all across the globe to come together and celebrate Halo like never before.
The weekend will offer fans the chance to watch dev panels on the Halo Community Stage, play in tournaments, show off cosplays or just spend time with friends as some of the best players in the world compete for a $1,000,000 prize.

Although all of that sounds exciting, there are still no official announcements surrounding the future of the beloved Halo franchise.
However, according to a report by Halo Studios, there could be some exciting news just around the corner.
Speaking on the Halo World Championship, a statement reads as follows:
Back in June we let the community know that we’d be continuing the conversation from last year’s HaloWC and the “A New Dawn” video and sharing more about what we’d been working on.

Like last year, we’ll be on the Main Stage to talk about it but this year we’ve also got a “deep dive” panel planned for the Community Stage that you won’t want to miss.”
Of course, this tells us nothing specifically but it could mean that we will finally receive some news about what Halo Studios has been working on in the background.
At the time of writing, there is no specific release date for the next Halo entry but rumours of a potential standalone multiplayer game have been circulating online, as well as a potential HALO CE remake.
Following the upcoming announcement by Halo Studios, fans took to r/halo to share their thoughts.

“My ‘hopium take’ is that we see a CE remake announcement + release date, alongside a dedicated multiplayer game announcement that drops in early access/flights within a year,” user Haijakk said.
For user Spartan-Arthas, they are still holding out hope.
“All I need is a spark of hope that the future for Halo is bright, I’m realistic so I know it’s up in the air but still being a huge fan I still gotta be cautiously optimistic.”
With the most recent Halo entry, Halo Infinite, being met with mixed reviews on launch, it seems as though the developers have a lot of weight on their shoulders but hopefully, this upcoming announcement will finally give the fans what they have been asking for.
