Fallout 5, while possibly coming sooner than we expected, is still a long way from being ready.

This means Fallout fans need a new RPG to sink their teeth into.

Fortunately, such a game will launch soon (ish).

Although players are braced for new adventures coming next month, we’ve pretty much explored the Wasteland.

Sure, there’s the odd NSFW surprise that catches us off guard, but for the most part, we’ve been there, done that.

Arguably, this is part of the reason why Fallout fans are so hyped for an upcoming RPG that offers 10 different endings.

Talk about your choices making an impact.

An epic story awaits in Avowed

And no, we’re not referring to Atomfall, though having previewed the game, we have to admit it’s “packed with potential”.

Avowed, due to launch in early 2025, is shaping up to be the RPG of our dreams – and we thought Baldur’s Gate 3 had already claimed that crown.

Despite its aesthetic and story being more in-keeping with The Elder Scrolls series, Obsidian Entertainment’s previous outing – The Outer Worlds – felt like Fallout in space, and thus, Fallout players expect big things from this new adventure.

Being able to shape the in-game world around you in such an in-depth way definitely attempts to optimise the replayability of the title.

However, don’t go expecting any cinematic endings, for Obsidian is keeping it traditional by using ending slides instead.

Despite not catering to everyone’s preferences, opting for a slideshow-esque ending has allowed the developers to take those possible outcomes into double digits.

As a result, you’ll likely be tempted to play several runs rather than just the one.

Or, at least, that’s what Obsidian is banking on.

Sadly, you'll have to wait until Feb 2025 to experience these multiple endings first-hand, assuming the launch date doesn’t change due to delays, etc.

With so many different directions to take your journey in, such a monumental experience is worth waiting for.
