The long-awaited new gameplay trailer has dropped for the highly anticipated reboot of Fable which will take eagerly awaiting fans to the lands of Albion once more.

The new gameplay trailer revealed during the Xbox Games Showcase was packed with the slapstick and sarcastic humour that fans of the series will appreciate and judging by the latest trailer, fans will not be disappointed. This Fable reboot will be developed by Playground Games, best known for the Forza Horizon racing series, so this is very much a major departure for the developers. But hopefully, despite the change of pace, it will prove to be yet another hit for the talented studio when Fable is released on PC and Xbox Series X/S.

Check out the new Fable trailer below!

The first time that we were properly introduced to the Fable reboot was during the Xbox Games Showcase in 2023 and it featured star of the hit comedy TV series The IT Crowd's Richard Ayoade who was playing a giant named Dave. Sadly, Dave did not make a return in this weekend's trailer but hopefully we'll see the "vegetable enthusiast" return as a boss in the full game.

"The world is filled with stories of legendary heroes and treacherous villains. Of fantastical creatures and wondrous places. Where nature and magic live in perfect harmony. Not all stories have happy endings! But yours has yet to be written," reads the description of Fable.

Many fans would have hoped that they'd be returning to Albion later this year, but it was confirmed that Fable will be released for PC and Xbox Series X/S sometime in 2025. The good news at least, is that with Fable being a first-party title on the green brand, we know that it will likely launch day one on Xbox Game Pass. Hopefully with a bit of luck, we’ll get a solid release date in the coming months.
