A first person shooter that's been around since 2020 is finally headed to consoles.

Fans have waited and waited, and finally their prayers have been answered.

Announced at Summer Game Fest 2024, this entertaining shooter will enter its beta phase this June. Yes, you read that right; come 14 June, you'll be able to play Valorant beta on both Xbox and PlayStation.

This is BIG news, my friends.

How amazing does Valorant look in this gameplay trailer?

Valorant has been on PC so long now that we were worried it would remain a PC exclusive. Thankfully, the developers have rewarded our patience with this surprise drop.

For those who don't know about this game, allow PlayStation to explain it to you: "Valorant is a 5v5 character-based tactical FPS, where precise gunplay meets unique Agent abilities. Valorant is more than just guns and bullets."

But fear not, gamers, for Riot ensures us that this isn't just a straight copy from PC to consoles. Nor will our customisation options be limited.

PC gamers typically have the advantage when it comers to customisation, and so it's brilliant news for the fandom to learn they won't be penalised for choosing to opt for the console version instead.

As this will be a limited beta, not everyone will be able to partake in the mayhem and fun. Still, while some will have to wait their turn until its full release, at least they'll be comforted by the feedback fellow fans provide the devs.

There's a very specific schedule laid out for Valorant, one which will see patches start to emerge from 25 June onwards. What is more, maps, agents, etc will also trickle through to "catch everyone up to speed".

Remember, keep your eyes peeled and your nerves steady come 14 June. We wish you well!
