Dr Disrespect finally admits why he was banned from Twitch in controversial statement

At this point, just stop talking

If you didn’t know his name before, you’ll definitely know who Dr Disrespect is now.

The YouTuber’s Twitch ban has always been a topic of debate, for it had an air of mystery surrounding it. That mystery, however, has abruptly vanished.

After allegations were made against Dr Disrespect by a former Twitch employee, each step the streamer has taken to “clear his name” has gone from bad to worse.

Not only was he dropped from the studio he co-founded mid-stream, but he’s now facing significant backlash and disapproval after his controversial admission regarding said Twitch ban.

In a very long statement, Dr Disrespect attempted to deny any wrongdoing. But the way he worded it has caused an endless stream of comments condemning him for his actions.

His statement reads, “Were there twitch whisper messages with an individual minor back in 2017? The answer is yes. Were there real intentions behind these messages, the answer is absolutely not. “

It continues, “These were casual, mutual conversations that sometimes leaned too much in the direction of being inappropriate, but nothing more. Nothing illegal happened, no pictures were shared, no crimes were committed, I never even met the individual.”

Unsurprisingly to everyone except the streamer, people are horrified by the post. Chiefly because Dr Disrespect admits to messaging a minor in a way that, he claims, almost became inappropriate but not quite.

As one Twitter user remarked, “So many words just to say u were texting a minor inappropriately.”

Those watching this scene unfold found it highly telling that the YouTuber kept editing his post to remove then re-add the word minor.

“Editing ‘minor’ in and out of the statement is WILD,” commented @ICrawbaby.

Regardless of the intention behind his behaviour, though, as user @sapharic put it, “It is so truly weird that someone who was around 38/39 years old with a FAMILY would feel any inclination to have ANY convo with a minor he met on the internet.”

With his indefinite break from streaming confirmed, it seems that Dr Disrespect will attempt to avoid further heat by removing himself from the equation.

The thing is, after all this, it no longer matters if he’s present or not, the conversation will continue without him.
