A new demo for psychological horror There Are People In Your Walls has just dropped on Steam.
Described on Steam as “A psychological horror game about paranoia and anxiety,” the game has you indulging in various senses in order to weed out the things threatening you.
In it, you must use your sharp eyes and ears to find odd anomalies that are hiding in your apartment.
As the title of the game suggests, the whole premise is about paranoia and anxiety as you discover there may be people living in your walls.

Played from a first-person perspective, you live alone in an apartment, so when you start to hear strange noises, you don’t want to take that lightly.
As you investigate the noises while you complete your daily tasks, you soon learn that there may be people living in these walls.

As the game description for There Are People In Your Walls tells, you spend the game listening closely for the sounds of breathing, knocking in different spots to try and find the people supposedly living there. You have the ability to knock on different surfaces, with various sounds being produced as a result.
If you find them, you can kill them with your axe. But be warned that this is simply just one evening, and that the threat will be back tomorrow.
In case you wanted to try the game out for yourself, you can download a free demo over on Steam at the moment.
Considering the low-spec graphics and hardware specifications (apparently requiring only 4 MB of RAM and a GTX 560), you should have no problem running this on your PC.
There doesn’t appear to be any controller support though—at least according to the store page—so Steam Deck users may have trouble running it without messing around with the settings.
As for when There Are People In Your Walls will hit a full release, that hasn’t been confirmed yet. Over on Steam, developer bad_ideas_digital has simply stated that the release date is “to be announced”.
