You have to be a sicko to hurt a fluffy boy. Unfortunately, in dark fantasy worlds, that's exactly the type of freak you come across.
The Souls-like genre is getting crazier every week. From AAA entries like Elden Ring and Bloodborne to quirky, new skin-changing RPGs that can possess anything from demons to herds of sheep, you can find an abundance of these similar games in every corner of the Steam library.
But the best RPGs are ones that catch you off guard with new elements.
Meet Stray Dog: Nobody Cares.
Upcoming Steam RPG is Stray meets Elder Scrolls for doggo lovers
Straight out of the Stray locker (not part of the same franchise), which put us in the footsteps of a ginger feline friend, Stray Dog: Nobody Cares assumes the role of a huge woofer as he wanders through an eerie realm.

It's clearly a recipe for success, given Stray's complete dominance on Steam back in 2022, and unlike current Game Pass title Beast of Carnation, this direwolf-looking beauty doesn't need the help of humaning.
Instead, Stray Dog: Nobody Cares lets players take control of an unnamed doggo who has been raised as a knight.
"The protagonist is an unnamed hound raised by a knight since birth. Rootless and nameless, it lingers on dusty roads beside its master, seen as worthless vermin by all. Its owner is a disgraced retired knight. He fought for the legion for decades and earned glory, yet was slandered and discarded for uncovering the legion’s dark secrets," the Steam description reads.
"The knight lived a lonely life with only this dog by his side. He never trained it for battle, only taught it to hide and survive far from war. The hound cares nothing for kingdoms or schemes. Its sole devotion belongs to the knight who took it in. The world dismisses it as a stray cur, yet the fallen knight is its entire world.
"No gods shelter this land, no heroes rise to save folk. Villages burn under fire, ordinary lives crushed by iron hooves. Countless villagers, servants, and beasts are cast aside, forgotten and pitiless."

Half Elder Scrolls and half Stray, the upcoming Steam RPG has shown glimpses of the Soulslike combat, where the nameless hound parries enemies with his mouth-held greatsword before leaping into attacks and deadly finishing moves.
Developed by Parry Frames Studio, who previoulsy made Crimson Oath, Stray Dog: Nobody Cares doesn't have a release date yet, but it can be added to your wishlist now.
