Outperforming the likes of Dune: Awakening, Stellar Blade, and Elden Ring: Nightreign, Steam’s latest addition has fans going wild, and better yet? It costs next to nothing to buy.

Developed by the team behind Another Crab’s Treasure, Peak is the latest game to take Steam by storm with the Aggro Crab title selling one million copies in just six days.

Peak is a co-op climbing game “where even the slightest mistake can spell your doom” as players can either go it alone or team up with friends to scale a mountain at the centre of a mysterious island.

Released on 16 June, Peak has already shot to the top of the Steam charts and has become one of the best-selling games, marking it above the likes of Dune: Awakening and Elden Ring: Nightreign.

With Peak hitting 102,799 concurrent players earlier this week, it seems as though everybody is going wild for this co-op climbing game and there is no doubt that the price is also helping.

At the moment, Peak is available to purchase for just £6.39 which is definitely a bargain considering the game’s current popularity.

Its popularity has also not gone unnoticed by the creators over at Aggro Crab who took to Bluesky to share the news.

"Why did this stupid jam game sell more copies than Another Crab's Treasure?" They joked. “I’m gonna crash out.”

However, their following post thanked fans for the support.

Since its release, Aggro Crab has already released a patch for Peak which improved in-game lobbies, added useful stamina tips, and addressed crashes on AMD hardware.

It seems as though Peak really is peak as thousands of players will be flocking to this brand-new title over the weekend.

So if you want to cause chaos with friends or reach impressive heights alone, make sure you check out the latest game taking Steam by storm.
