Steam users can grab an Xbox classic for free for a very limited time

I don’t know about you but the thought of a giant spider chasing me through the grass is enough to send me into orbit. However, if that sounds like your kind of thing, you’re in luck as one Steam game available for free will let you live out those fantasies for a limited time.

To celebrate the game’s new 'Make It or Break It' update, Steam users have until tomorrow to download Grounded for free. The survival action-adventure game by Obsidian Entertainment was first released in 2022 for Xbox and PC and has since gone on to meet critical acclaim. The first-person multiplayer title tasks players with surviving all manners of creatures and obstacles and all whilst being the size of an ant.

With the offer ending on 16 November, 5PM UK time, you don’t have long to get your hands on this epic deal. However, this is not one to miss out on as well as featuring a three-player co-op mode, you can also try your hand at a story mode which will include learning about why you are now suddenly the size of an ant in the first place.

As mentioned, one of the giant creatures you will face in your ant-like form is the formidable spiders. However, if you are like me and scream at the sight of them, Obsidian also offers an arachnophobia option so you don’t have any excuses not to pick up Grounded.

Thanks to the recent 'Make It or Break It' update which was released on 13 November, players can now design their own environments, craft furniture and structures and even place spawn points to make things more interesting.
