This beautiful 9/10 Steam game is completely free right now, and you know a game is going to be a banger when the only complaint people have is that it’s too short.
There are thousands, possibly even tens of thousands, of free games on the Steam storefront, but I’d wager that less than 1% of them have reviews this good.
Wires And Whiskers is a brand new 3D puzzle platformer from students at ISART Digital Montréal, and it's currently sitting at a 91% "Very Positive" review score on Steam.
The devs describe it as a “fast-paced, two-player local co-op game” that has you take on the role of either a cybernetic gerbil or an “armed exosuit”, as you work together to manoeuvre around threats and complete puzzles. It is also the cutest thing I’ve seen this year.

But enough about what I think, what are all those glowing reviews saying?
“An absolutely adorable game about a cute critter and a tiny robot”, writes Steam reviewer Jade Darkness.
“It's a very short game (around 20 minutes) but it has everything you want of a game. Good visuals, smooth controls and a story! Best played with a friend who will yeet you off into oblivion.”
“This is a wonderful two player game with well developed fight mechanics and great level design”, commented Steam user Eden (Iriah9).

“This game was incredibly fun, and I hope this is continued to be worked on and developed into a full story line.”
Alright, but if it’s so good… why is it being given away for free?
The answer to that one is simple; it’s an ISART Digital Montréal game.
ISART Digital Montréal is a Canadian 3D FX animation school, and they give away all of their student projects for free through Steam.

Nice way to get their students some recognition before they’ve even graduated, and, hey, we get a free game out of it too!
