The reviews on this brand new Steam freebie are so good, I’ve already been convinced to download it.
Have you ever seen some gameplay in a trailer and just thought to yourself, “damn, this game looks like it was made for me”?
Admittedly, it’s been a while since I’ve been hit with that desire myself, but today’s new Steam download looks like so much fun that I already had the demo installed before I even started writing this.
GODBREAKERS is an upcoming hack and slash rougelike from developer To The Sky and publisher Thunderful Publishing, set to release at some point in 2025.

Thankfully, I won’t have to wait to try this one out for myself, as the devs behind the game just released a new demo, and it’s already getting some glowing reviews.
However, who cares if I think it looks good; let’s hear from some Steam reviewers who know that it’s good.
“Finally someone who understands what these games should look and feel like -- that was a great demo. Looking forward to playing the full game!” commented Steam user poharani.
“I really had fun playing the demo. This game has so many possibilities”, writes Steam reviewer power.
“I hope it delivers as well on the actual release as in the demo. The boses are fun and the combat is good. Not too overwhelming and not too underwhelming either.”
“Demo is very short, finished in less than 30 mins. With only a couple stretch unlocks after that”, commented Steam user Cohen.
“Extremely fun though, will be there day 1 for release.”
For now, it seems like the new demo is a PC exclusive download, but the devs have stated that the game will be coming to PlayStation on release.
No word on an exact release date in 2025, but I will be letting you know as soon as there is one.
