Steam Drops 'God-Tier' Free Download Gamers Are Obsessed With

This is, somehow, shaping up to be this month's most exciting release

One of this month’s most exciting games just, somehow, got even more exciting. You really don’t see reviews like this every day.

I’ve had my eye on today’s game for a long, long time, because I played the first game in the series around 20-ish years ago now (yes, I am old).

Shinobi: Art of Vengeance is the latest entry in SEGA’s long-running Shinobi series, which started all the way back with the release of the first Shinobi back in 1987.

At this point, I’ve probably watched the latest trailer for Shinobi: Art of Vengeance about fifteen times. To say I’m excited for this game would be a bit of an understatement.

It’s due to come out in just under a month, on August 29, but I’m so unreasonably hyped for this one that it still feels like too long to wait… which is why it’s extremely fortunate that a demo for the game just dropped on Steam.

I have had the demo sitting in my Steam library for about 12 hours now, so writing this kind of feels like torture, and reading all of the glowing reviews on Steam is not helping.

“DIABOLICAL! To drop this GOD TIER SHINOBI Demo the same minute the other one dropped. Nah nah nah. THIS IS GAMING”, writes Steam reviewer Majoro Thom.

“Look at my time and understand this game has more style and sophistication then 99.9 percent of the industry. Matter of fact the only other game as fly as this Is NINJA GAIDEN… I can not wait to get this game. Action games are back.”

“Playing this demo made me feel like a kid again back in '97 when my dad gave me my Sega Mega Drive II and I played Revenge of Shinobi until the buttons fell off”, commented Steam user Darkhollow.

“It may be the nostalgia talking, but the gameplay is smooth and the difficulty is just right. I think Sega and Lizardcube got a banger on their hands for those that enjoy this genre.”

This isn’t fair, man. Why am I at work right now? I just wanna play Shinobi: Art of Vengeance.

Wait… this is my last article of the day…

Later DORKS, I got a brand new SEGA banger to play.
