During the current cost of living crisis, it’s always important to save a little money where we can. Thankfully, this free Steam game that blends Starfield with No Man’s Sky has us covered.

One of the joys of both Starfield and No Man’s Sky is the freedom of exploration on offer as we venture into the stars, eager to make new discoveries and visit many wondrous planets. To be honest, you couldn't go wrong with either game as each will keep you entertained for many hours, to say the least.

In our review of Starfield, we said: “The journey you embark on will dazzle you, and I have no doubt that players will be gripped for months, perhaps even years to come. Here is a playground where you can be whoever you want to be. I simply cannot stop thinking about Starfield and the wondrous secrets it still holds.”

The Steam game in question that blends Starfield and No Man’s Sky is Phantom Galaxies, developed and published by Blowfish Studios. Available now for free, Phantom Galaxies is currently in early access and is a sci-fi adventure which features Mech online co-op as well as PvP gameplay. “Choose between four distinct Starfighter classes and diverse weapons and gear. Once enemies, the intergalactic empires of humanity band together to battle lawless pirate factions amid war-torn space!” reads the official description of the game.

It is perhaps worth mentioning that with Phantom Galaxies being free-to-play, it does feature microtransactions and according to the Steam user reviews, it even includes dreaded NFTs. That being said, hopefully, there is plenty of fun to be had without the need to splash too much cash just to have fun.
