You may recall TCG Card Shop Simulator, a surprise hit release that landed on Steam just last year.
The game tasked players with running a trading card game store, stocking the shelves with the latest booster or expansion packs, all whilst hosting customer events and just generally keeping the shop ticking over.
It was a simple premise, but one that so many of us sunk quite a few hours into.
Well, I may have found a spiritual successor.

Tabletop Game Shop Simulator is set to launch later this year, and it’s just dropped a free demo on Steam.
Whilst TCG Card Shop Simulator was developed by OPNeon Games, Tabletop Game Shop Simulator is from Ludogram and Knight Fever Games.
As you’ve likely guessed, it tasks you with running a tabletop gaming store, collecting figures, expanding your empire, and competing against customers in huge game nights.
It’s perfect for those who are fans of IRL franchises like Warhammer or Dungeon & Dragons.

This is the game’s very first playable demo and it should give you a feel for what's an offer, allowing players to set up their shop, stock their first minifigure packs, and getting those early sales in the bag.
In the full release, you won’t have to handle all of the daily tasks alone.
As you expand your store, you’ll be able to hire staff to help out - and it isn’t just figures that you’ll be stocking.
Any tabletop game fan will know that a good store also needs rulebooks, paints, accessories, and mystery packs.

Devs have also revealed that you can actually keep some of the store’s figures for yourself, with there even being an option to paint them, just as you would in real life.
Once painted, you can either keep them for your own collection or sell them on at an enhanced price.
And then there’s tournaments you’ll run, where you can compete against customers in one-on-one battles.
Honestly, this sounds like a great little release, and I have no doubt those positive reviews will start flooding in before long.
