Following the success of other Marvel video games such as Marvel Rivals and Marvel Snap, this brand-new beat ‘em up title is guaranteed to cater to the superhero fans among us.

Released just yesterday, on 1 October, the MARVEL Cosmic Invasion demo is now live, giving players the chance to try out the Marvel-inspired beat ‘em up arcade game ahead of its full launch.

With no solid release date announced, MARVEL Cosmic Invasion is the latest Marvel video game on the market with players able to embark on battles across the cosmos as our favourite superheroes fight against the deadly Annihilation Wave threatening the galaxy.

In the demo, players will gain access to nine Marvel heroes ranging from Nova, Spider-Man, Wolverine, Phyla-Vell, Captain America, Storm, Venom, She-Hulk and Rocket Raccoon. However, in the full launch, this roster will be expected to grow to feature some of your favourites.

“Tribute Games and Dotemu are teaming up again, in collaboration with Marvel Games, to craft an original, fresh beat 'em up,” the official Steam synopsis reads.

“Featuring dynamic combat combos and dazzling pixel art, this planet-hopping adventure stands as a love letter to the Marvel Universe.”

Using a tag-team system, players will be able to utilise various heroes by choosing two heroes for each level and then switching them out accordingly.

The pair will be able to create unique combos and powerful special attacks to take down the hordes of enemies and with each character’s abilities being able to create powerful team-up takedowns, you will be able to use tactics and strategy to prevail.

Not only that but the MARVEL Cosmic Invasion demo will include two playable levels which take place through the streets of New York as well as the Helicarrier which has fallen under Annihilus’ command.

Both the demo and full release will also allow you to play solo or with friends courtesy of both local and online play.

So far, the MARVEL Cosmic Invasion demo has received rave reviews over on Steam.

“This demo does a great job at gauging interest, allowing you to play all the heroes and even swap if you die,” one positive review reads.

“This is an enjoyable game and while I'm not experienced with the genre, I can see myself aiming to improve and learn all the different moves and combos. Each hero offers a unique playstyle and I'm excited to find my favourite.”

As mentioned, MARVEL Cosmic Invasion does not yet have a full release date but the demo is now free to check out on Steam ahead of launch.
