Steam Drops New Batch of Free Games You Can Keep Forever

Plenty to keep you entertained

Gaming can be expensive, but it doesn’t have to be.

You’ll be familiar with the major free-to-play titles, including the likes of Marvel Rivals, Honkai: Star Rail, and Fortnite to name just a few (Anyone else itching to dive into the new Shock ‘N Awesome season today?).

They’re far from being all that’s on offer though.

There are free indie titles being released on a daily basis, and I’d like to highlight four of the newest examples to land on Steam.

Certainly, some titles are better than others but there’s no major harm in trying out a game that’s free.

Perhaps with one exception. That’s not the attitude I’d encourage you to approach Entropia: Universe with, given its ‘Mixed’ rating.

Developed by MindArk, this one’s a MMO based around a virtual sandbox economy … so yeah, money does play into it.

From what I can gather, you actually participate in the purchase of virtual objects, with the game having even entered the Guinness World Book of Records after a virtual space station was sold for $330,000 - and I’m pretty sure that’s real life money.

Entropia: Universe actually originally launched back in 2003 but it seems this new version marks the game’s move to Unreal Engine 5.

The only way is up from here.

Rezarus is a much more enticing experience; in this tank arena combat game, teams of three to 10 players will go up against each other in arcade-style warfare.

You’ll need to seize control points, capture enemy flags, and simply take down the competition.

Developed by SusTek Games, this one’s got a respectable 93% ‘Positive’ Steam rating.

Vibe Clicker is equally adored, with a 90% ‘Positive’ rating.

This game comes from Average Game Studio and it’s an idle clicker “where you evolve from college graduate to Vibe Lord”.

It’s reportedly a satirical take on modern life that simply sees you click your way to success.

I’ll be honest, while the concept sounds simple, the trailer has left me more confused than anything but players seem to like it.

Finally, I bring you Simulators, Strategies, and Pigeons, a title which immediately had me thinking, “This sounds dreadful”.

Shame on me for judging it by its title alone though.

Developed by GD Guild, this one’s a free collection of six indie games: Carrier Pigeon Simulator, Unbelievable Times, Stay Strong!, BloomWake, This Is My Stick, and Kings And.

There’s everything you could possibly want in there from a medieval sim to a cosy fantasy flower breeding title.

This one is also acclaimed with a Positive ‘92%’ rating from players.

So there you have it. Plenty to try out.
