Steam users can now download a free slice of the new RPG Sunderfolk, which currently has 94% total positive ratings.
Sunderfolk is a turn-based RPG that looks like a cross between Warhammer and Dungeons and Dragons, where you and a party of friends co-operate to defeat hordes of enemies.
It’s essentially a mix of those games but in a more user-friendly way, where you won’t need to argue with a game master or memorise a bunch of rules.
The “gimmick” of Sunderfolk is that it uses a free controller app which you can use to control your character, see your list of cards to use, and also acts as a guidebook.

That means only one person needs to launch the game, and players can play either in the same room together, or remotely via Discord.
Now, you can download a trial for Sunderfolk on Steam, giving you the chance to play a small portion of the game for free. With the trial, you’ll be able to play the first four missions for free, and your progress carries over into the full game if you decide to purchase it.

“It's wonderful, it's charming, long enough to sink your teeth in, but not so long that it overstays its welcome,” reads another review with over 20 hours of playtime.
“10/10 great idea, great implementation,” a third review reads. “D&D with QoL Features. Works nice with phones on a TV.”
