You can currently download five free games on Steam right now, but we gotta answer that important question first… even if these don’t cost any money, are any of them actually worth playing?
Yes, apparently. At least three of these sound like they’re pretty good.
Once again, every entry on this list was found by the Free Steam Games Twitter account. Thank you, whoever you are.
Ok, we’re ranking these from worst to best again. I have, admittedly, not played any of these though, so we’re taking the Steam reviews at face value this time around.

First up, Anthèse from developer and publisher Anthèse Dev.
The dev describes it as an "action light RPG", whatever that means, and it doesn't look half bad to me. Unfortunately, the reviews are a bit 50/50 on this one, so you’ll have to figure out if it’s decent for yourself.
Next up, The Last Heroine from developer and publisher Marcus Basquaise.
This one is an action-adventure Souls-like (wow, never played one of those before), and it looks… fine. Reviews are mixed, but honestly my issue here is that a lot of the assets and animations look like they’re taken from an asset library. Seems like its a solo dev’s first crack at a game though, so I won’t be too harsh.

The Chess is, um, a chess game from developer and publisher NowakGames.
Alright, so, yes; this is just chess. However, the reviews are pretty good. I think that probably has something to do with the “Chess History & Rules” options, based on what the reviewers are saying. Look dude, it’s a chess game. What more do you want from me?
Primal Slideee is a "platformer" racing game from developer Hobakba Games and developer Gonggamorecontents Inc.
I don’t know why, but this one just looks kind of charming to me. Reminds me of the old free games you’d get on Newgrounds back in the day. Doesn’t look like anything special, but just some stupid, dumb fun.

This one looks like a bona fide heater: Condo from developer and publisher FlubbedMachina.
I think if “vibes” were a game, they would manifest as something like Condo. It is a walking simulator in the purest sense. You just have a wander around and chat to people, because you’re alone in your little flat and you can’t sleep. Reviews are super positive on this one, and I’ve already got it downloading myself.
And that’s the whole list! I think if you could only play one of these, I’d recommend it be Condo, but I will, once again, stress that I haven’t actually played any of these. That won’t be the case in about two minutes once Condo finishes installing, though.
See you back here in a day or two for another one of these.
