Stardew Valley-like free Steam hit just got a massive expansion

Stardew Valley-like free Steam hit just got a massive expansion

This is an expansion you won't want to miss

One of Steam’s cosiest games is getting a huge update later this month which’ll add loads of new content, plus it’s free.

The game is called Palia, a free-to-play title on Steam that’s very similar to Stardew Valley with its gameplay and aesthetic.

Check out Palia below.

It’s very cosy, with the player’s only concern being to relax, do some farming or fishing, hang out with the locals, and decorate your home.

Palia’s description reads: “Palia is a vibrant new world made just for you. Craft, cook, fish, and farm with friends as you live the life of your dreams and discover an enchanting adventure filled with colourful characters and a mystery to unravel.”

The game also boasts an open world to explore, which you can wander through on foot or take to the air with a glider that’s very reminiscent of The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom.

Long-time, and new, players will be delighted to hear the game is set to get an expansion later this month called The Crafted Comforts update, containing even more content to play and enjoy.

The upcoming update was teased by the game’s official Twitter account, or X account if you’d prefer.

It said: “The Crafted Comforts Update brings some new flair to Palia! Upgrade your home plot with building blocks and pathways or settle into the Underground Black Market to play Hotpot with friends.”

As the post continued, the update will add several new craftable items to the game to decorate your home with, and will also add some new quests to the game for interactions with its NPCs.

The update will be released for the game on 28 May, so you haven’t got long to wait before you can dive in to the new additions.

Palia is a free-to-play game on Steam right now, so if you haven’t tried it yet give it a go, especially if you’re a fan of more relaxed gameplay titles.
