Skyrim Meets The Witcher 3 in Surprise Free Steam Download

If you are on the lookout for an immersive RPG set in a land inspired by The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and The Witcher 3, then you should not miss out on this epic free Steam download.

Added to Steam just this week, Of Ash and Steel is a third-person action RPG developed by a “passionate team that values the essence of classic old-school RPGs and modern designs”.

With the full game set to be released next month, Of Ash and Steel is now available to try out courtesy of a free Steam demo.

As mentioned, this brand-new RPG combines the exploration, combat, and design of other hits of the genre such as The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and The Witcher 3 and is set in a once-prosperous land where you will need to hone your skills in order to survive in the unforgiving realm known as the Kingdom of the Seven.

“Welcome to a world where danger lurks around every corner, yet one that always rewards curiosity and courage,” the Steam synopsis reads.

In Of Ash and Steel, players will be able to master the art of combat by trying out multiple stances, making use of their environment, and even throwing in the cheeky little ability now and then.

Whether you prefer a more stealth based approach or want to go in all guns blazing, your combat style is up to you and the game allows you to experiment to your heart’s content.

In the Kingdom of the Seven, you will be able to shape the fate of the world by gaining strength, surviving, and forming important alliances.

Your choices will impact the very land around you and in a map with no marker system or hand-holding quests, how you approach each scenario will be entirely up to you.

As mentioned, Of Ash and Steel is set to be released fully on 6 November but Steam/PC players can now check it out ahead of launch.

The free Steam demo will give you access to the very beginning of main character Tristan’s journey as he faces the various bandits and monsters who plague the land.

Giving you access to the game’s first region, you will be able to explore at will and spend multiple hours testing out the world for yourself.
