We’re just a couple of weeks away from the release of Resident Evil Requiem, and as we draw near to its big launch, the anticipation builds just that little bit more.
In a hands-on preview last year, I said that Resident Evil Requiem could be the scariest game in the series yet, and going by the trailers released after, that looks to remain true.
In terms of in-game story for a mainline entry in the series, this will be a return 30 years in the making to Raccoon City for Leon S. Kennedy, the once rookie RPD cop, now a seasoned, ass-kicking, snap-suplex giving, bio-weapon slaughtering machine.

We will also be introduced to a brand new character in Capcom’s ever-popular survival horror series, Grace Ashcroft. A young FBI agent, looking to solve a case of mysterious shenanigans at the place where Umbrella unleashed the dreaded T-Virus. She’s also the daughter of Alyssa Ashcroft, from Resident Evil Outbreak.

“Return once again to the city of disaster and despair. A midwestern city in the United States and the headquarters for the former global pharmaceutical company, Umbrella,” reads the synopsis of the game.
“In the face of the zombie outbreak in 1998, the government approved a sterilisation operation, a missile strike on the city in an attempt to quickly bring the situation under control—but this was swiftly covered up.”
How to Claim a Free Copy of Resident Evil Requiem
So, how can you claim a free copy of Resident Evil Requiem, I hear you ask? Well, technically, it’s an expensive freebie, but if you were looking to upgrade your gaming PC in the next couple of weeks, it’s a freebie that you might just appreciate.

As of 10 February, you can claim a free digital Steam copy of Resident Evil Requiem with qualifying GeForce RTX 50 Series cards, as well as qualifying laptops and desktop PCs.
Judging by the gameplay comparison videos released by NVIDIA, on compatible systems, this could be the most visually stunning and performance version of Resident Evil Requiem, thanks to DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation and Super Resolution.
Once you’ve made a qualifying purchase, you will receive instructions on how to redeem your code via the NVIDIA app to be ready for the big launch day.
Resident Evil Requiem will be released on 27 February 2026 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Nintendo Switch 2.
